Two decades of counterintelligence. Now working for you.
Thirteen Alpha exists because most security companies sell hours, not outcomes. We built a firm that runs protection the way an intelligence organization would — assess first, deploy with purpose, report like it matters.
Built by an operator, not a franchise
Thirteen Alpha was founded by Devin, a retired U.S. Navy counterintelligence and human intelligence specialist. Over a twenty-year career, he supported Naval Special Warfare and NCIS — work where identifying a threat late, or reading a situation wrong, got people hurt.
That career teaches a specific discipline: you protect what you understand. Before any officer stands a post for a Thirteen Alpha client, someone has asked the questions most guard companies never ask. Who would target this site, and why? Where does it actually fail? What does the officer need to see three minutes before a problem becomes an incident?
After retiring from service, Devin brought that discipline home to Texas. Thirteen Alpha Solutions is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business, licensed by the Texas Department of Public Safety as a Class C security guard company and investigations company — the license that covers both sides of what we do: the protection you can see, and the intelligence work behind it.
Four rules we don't break
Assess before we staff
No contract starts with a headcount. It starts with a walk of your site, a threat picture, and a post order that tells every officer why they're there — not just when to clock in.
Vet past the minimum
Texas sets a licensing floor. We treat it as a floor. Our officers are screened, trained, and supervised by someone who spent a career evaluating people for a living.
Report like it matters
Every shift produces documentation you can actually use — timestamped, photo-verified where appropriate, written for the board member, pastor, or facilities director who has to answer for security.
Stay reachable
You contract with the owner, and you can reach the owner. No account managers who've never seen your site, no call-center loop. When something changes, one call fixes it.
Talk to the person who'll actually run your security.
Not a salesperson. Not a franchise office. Tell us what you're protecting and we'll tell you, honestly, what it needs.
