A Daytime City of Commuters
Southlake reported 323 offenses in 2024. Ten were violent. The other 313 were property crime: 22 burglaries, 274 thefts, and 17 motor vehicle thefts. Property crime ran 9.94 per 1,000 residents against a Texas rate of 20.4. Theft is 87% of the total, and theft is the crime a post stops.
The second number matters more. The 2020 census counted 31,265 residents across 21.83 square miles in Tarrant and Denton counties. The employer rolls counter that. Sabre runs its headquarters at 3150 Sabre Drive with roughly 2,550 people in a 265,942 square foot building it has held since 2002. The brokerage campus on Schwab Lane adds 2,230. Carroll ISD employs 1,176, Verizon Wireless 685, Keller Williams 650, and Gateway Church 600 at 500 South Nolen Drive.
Those six employers approach a fifth of the resident count. Southlake fills at 8 a.m. and empties at 6 p.m. Garages hold unattended vehicles nine hours. Badge readers see tailgating. Lobbies see walk-ins who know the building looks open.
Police posture. Southlake runs a Department of Public Safety, combined police and fire, from headquarters at 600 State Street inside Town Square. It holds CALEA Gold Standard Accreditation with Excellence, earned its eighth award in 2022, and sits among the 46 of 2,734 licensed Texas agencies that carry CALEA at all.
It is also a shared operation. Calls route through NETCOM, the Northeast Tarrant Communications Center, on the non-emergency line at 817-743-4522. Arrestees go to the Keller Regional Detention Center at 330 Rufe Snow Drive. Southlake DPS runs Vacation House Watch, school resource officers inside Carroll ISD, and Alert Southlake. None of that stands on your loading dock at 3 a.m.
Road work. The North Carroll Avenue Mobility Improvements project reworks six intersection areas between FM 1709 and SH 114. Work started in July 2025 and targets the end of September 2026. Phase 3 touched the medians at DPS headquarters and Carroll Pointe Shopping Center. Lane shifts change how a lot gets approached and how fast a cruiser reaches it.
The commercial base sorts into five blocks. Retail centers on Southlake Town Square: 646,328 square feet of leasable area under Kite Realty, more than 100 stores and 27 restaurants, Apple and Trader Joe's and Crate & Barrel among them. Town Hall, the municipal court, the library, and DPS headquarters sit inside that same development, which puts civic and retail foot traffic on one set of sidewalks. Office runs along SH 114 and into Granite Place at Town Square. Medical clusters on Southlake Boulevard, led by Texas Health Southlake at 1545 East Southlake Boulevard and Southlake Medical Plaza at 731 East Southlake Boulevard. Houses of worship anchor on the Gateway campus. Residential sits behind White Chapel Boulevard.
Events supply the sixth block, and each publishes its date. Art in the Square fills Town Square each April with more than 150 artists and tens of thousands of visitors. Oktoberfest Southlake returns there in October 2026 for its 25th year. Dragon Stadium at 1085 South Kimball Avenue seats 11,000 and has drawn Friday crowds since 2001.

Four Steps From Call to Coverage
No contract starts with a headcount. It starts with a walk of the property.
We walk the site with you. Entry points, sightlines, lighting, camera coverage, and what a person on foot reaches without passing anything that records it.
Post orders name the tasks, rounds, escalation path, and the NETCOM non-emergency line. The officer knows the job before the shift.
We assign officers to a site and keep them there. A steady officer learns which vehicles belong in the garage. A stranger never does.
Every shift produces a written log with times, rounds, contacts, and incidents. Boards, insurers, and detectives take a log, not a memory.
Why a Local Operator Beats a Call Center
National brokers sell Southlake coverage off a map. The account manager sits in another state, the officer comes from a subcontractor pool, and the survey happens by phone. The client learns this on the first incident.
- Our office sits at 4364 Western Center Blvd #2105 in Fort Worth, one drive up SH 170 and SH 114. Southlake is a route, not a dispatch region.
- Officers work for us. We file their license and commission applications, the employer's obligation under Texas law, and we know who stands on your lot tonight.
- Post orders name Southlake specifics: the State Street headquarters, the NETCOM line, the North Carroll Avenue lane shifts, the Town Square event calendar.
- Escalation reaches a person who has walked the site, not a ticket queue.

What Southlake Coverage Costs
We publish bands so you can budget before you call. The final rate depends on hours, post count, site risk, and lead time. We price above the low-cost end of this market on purpose.
Threat and vulnerability assessments referenced on this site are performed by PRO-tect Premier Investigations, an affiliated firm in which our founder holds an ownership interest. An assessment is a standalone product. Findings belong to the client and may be used with any provider. An assessment does not create, imply, or precede a guard services agreement. See the threat assessments page.
