How much does a security guard cost in DFW?
It depends on officer level, hours, and site risk. Unarmed (Level II) coverage costs less than armed (Level III); executive protection (Level IV) is priced per detail. We quote flat, transparent rates after a short assessment — usually within one business day.
Should we hire armed or unarmed officers?
It's a threat question, not a budget question. Sites with cash, elevated threats, or prior incidents often justify armed; most access-control and patrol work is done well unarmed. We'll recommend the level the threat actually calls for — including when that's the cheaper one.
What do the Texas officer levels mean?
Texas DPS licenses officers by level: Level II is non-commissioned (unarmed), Level III is commissioned (armed), and Level IV is a Personal Protection Officer for executive protection. Every Thirteen Alpha officer holds a current license at the level they work.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes — Thirteen Alpha Solutions is a TX DPS Class C licensed security guard and investigations company (#C31017501), insured and bonded, and a TALI member. You can verify our license through DPS's public database.
How fast can coverage start?
