Security Guard & Patrol Services — Dallas / Fort Worth · DFW

Licensed security guard
and patrol services in
Dallas & Fort Worth

Security run to an intelligence standard.

We don't post warm bodies. We deploy trained officers behind a real threat assessment. Armed and unarmed officers, marked patrol, event coverage, and personal protection across Fort Worth and the DFW metroplex. Every officer is licensed by the Texas Department of Public Safety before they set foot on your property.

The difference

A uniform is not a
security program

A guard standing at a door is a deterrent. That is all it is. We start where the threat starts: what an adversary would actually target on your property, who would notice, and how long a response would take. Then we staff to that answer, with people who have worked these problems before.

The bench

Experience you cannot
hire off a job board

Guard companies compete on price because their people are interchangeable. Ours are not. Ownership, management, field supervision, and the officer standing on your post — every layer is staffed by someone who did this work before they did it here.

Ownership

Founded and led by a retired U.S. Navy counterintelligence agent — twenty years in military intelligence and HUMINT, supporting Naval Special Warfare and NCIS.

Counterintelligence · HUMINT

Management

Extensive private security experience across commercial, industrial, and residential accounts, backed by multiple military backgrounds including special warfare.

Special warfare · Industry veterans

Field Supervision

Career private security professionals running the posts. They have worked the account types you own, know what fails at 0300, and are reachable after hours.

Career field managers

Licensed, insured officers on post

Every officer assigned to your property is individually licensed by the Texas Department of Public Safety, Regulatory Services Division — Private Security Program, at the level the post requires. Unarmed posts are staffed by noncommissioned officers holding an individual license. Armed posts are staffed by commissioned officers holding a security officer commission. Protective details are staffed by officers holding personal protection officer authorization.

Our officers complete the Level II, Level III, and Level IV training courses that carry those credentials, and the company files the license and commission applications — not the officer. Background-checked, credentialed, insured, and bonded before day one. No subcontracted strangers.

Assessment & planning

Know what you are
defending against

A Threat & Vulnerability Assessment documents how your site would actually be attacked and what it would cost to close each gap. It is a standalone product with a standalone deliverable. You own the findings and you decide what to do with them.

What gets examined

Perimeter and approach routes. Access control and key management. Lighting and camera coverage, actual versus claimed. Response times from every direction. Insider exposure. Prior incident history on and around the property.

What you receive

A written report scoring each finding by likelihood and consequence, ranked so you know what to fix first. Photographs. Specific, costed recommendations. An emergency action plan tied to the findings.

Why it matters later

The report is dated, documented proof that you assessed risk and acted on it. In a negligent-security claim, that record is the difference between a defensible program and an indefensible one.

Affiliate disclosure

Threat and vulnerability assessments are performed by PRO-tect Premier Investigations, TX DPS License #C28696201, an affiliated firm in which the founder of Thirteen Alpha Solutions LLC holds an ownership interest.

Assessment findings belong to the client and may be used with any provider. An assessment carries no obligation to contract guard coverage with Thirteen Alpha Solutions LLC, and guard coverage carries no requirement to have purchased an assessment.

Ask any bidder for these

  • Their DPS company license number — then verify it against DPS records.
  • Proof that each assigned officer is individually licensed, not just that the company is.
  • Which officer credentials they actually carry on staff, and which they subcontract out.
  • Whether their general liability policy excludes or sublimits assault and battery, and firearms.
  • Whether they carry workers' compensation or are a non-subscriber.
  • A firm that hesitates on any of these is an exposure you are about to buy.

Common questions

Before you
call

How fast can you put an officer on site?

For standard unarmed coverage in the DFW metroplex, typically within a few business days of a signed agreement and completed post orders. Armed posts and protective details take longer because the credential and the officer both have to fit the assignment. Emergency coverage is handled case by case — call rather than email.

What is the difference between an armed and an unarmed officer?

An unarmed officer is a noncommissioned officer holding an individual license from the Texas Department of Public Safety. An armed officer holds a security officer commission, which requires additional training and firearms qualification through the Department. The right answer depends on what the post is there to stop, not on what looks more impressive at the gate.

Do you require a long-term contract?

No. Contract term is one of the levers that moves the rate, but short-term, seasonal, and single-event coverage are all available. What we will not do is staff a post without written post orders.

Are you licensed and insured?

Thirteen Alpha Solutions LLC holds Texas DPS Class C License #C31017501. The company carries general liability and workers' compensation coverage, and certificates of insurance are issued on request. Every officer assigned to a post is individually licensed by the Department.

What areas do you cover?

Fort Worth and the surrounding Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex, including Tarrant, Dallas, Denton, and Parker counties. Coverage outside that footprint is quoted case by case with travel included in the rate.
