Security Driver Service in DFW
A Texas-licensed personal protection officer drives your family or guests to events across Dallas and Fort Worth, waits with the vehicle, and brings them home. Your car or ours. One officer, start to finish.
$125 / hr · Two riders · Same pickup & drop-off
Rideshare sends whoever accepted the ride. We send a licensed protection officer who checked the route before pickup.
A Protection Officer Behind the Wheel
Your officer is a commissioned security officer holding a personal protection officer authorization from the Texas Department of Public Safety, Regulatory Services Division, Private Security Program. The state fingerprints and background-checks every officer before it issues either credential.
You are paying for judgment. Your officer watches the curb before your riders step out, knows the alternate route home, and answers to a licensed security company. Getting there is the easy part.
Licensed & Commissioned
DPS issues the commission and the protection authorization. We file for both, carry the insurance, and supervise the officer.
Route Checked First
Your officer reviews the route, drop point, and pickup point before the trip, with an alternate route out.
Verified Pickup
You give us rider names and a pickup word. The officer confirms both before anyone gets in the vehicle.
Eyes on the Handoff
At drop-off the officer watches your riders to the entrance from the vehicle. At pickup the officer is in position at the curb before they walk out.
Updates to You
The person who booked gets a message at pickup, arrival, departure, and drop-off.
Same Officer Both Ways
The officer who drops your riders off brings them home and waits with the vehicle in between.
What a Trip Costs
Protected transport keeps your officer in the vehicle. If your riders need the officer out of the vehicle to provide close protection or coverage, the booking becomes a personal protection detail and we price it at that rate. Tell us at booking and we quote it that way.

Security Driver FAQ
How is this different from a car service or rideshare?
A car service pays a driver to move you. We assign a personal protection officer licensed by the Texas Department of Public Safety. That officer checks the route before pickup, verifies each rider, watches the handoff at both ends, and waits with the vehicle between legs.
What does a security driver cost in DFW?
$125 per hour for two riders on the same pickup and drop-off, with a four-hour minimum. Each additional rider adds $25 per hour. We drive your vehicle at no charge, or ours starting at a flat $100 plus $1.25 per mile over 50 miles. Parties of five or more carry additional terms.
Do you charge less while the officer waits?
No. Your officer is on duty with the vehicle the whole time your riders are inside, so the hourly rate holds from pickup to final drop-off.
Can the officer walk my kids into the venue?
Yes, as a personal protection detail. Protected transport keeps the officer in the vehicle. Close protection on foot or coverage outside the vehicle moves the booking to the personal protection rate.
Is the officer armed?
Yes. Texas requires a personal protection officer to hold a security officer commission, which authorizes the officer to carry a firearm on duty.
Will the officer be in uniform?
Your choice. Texas allows a personal protection officer to work in plain clothes, and the officer carries concealed when out of uniform. Tell us at booking.
How far ahead should I book?
Book 48 hours out when you can. For anything sooner, call (817) 480-2291 and we tell you whether an officer is available.
What is your payment and cancellation policy?
Full payment is due before the trip. Cancellations inside 72 hours of pickup forfeit payment. Invoices carry a 3% administrative and technology fee.
